Kathbell Stumpf

Kathbell is a wife, Mum, and published author who started writing stories at a young age. Her first young adult novel, Miss Mary, The Legend of Miss Mary Mack, was the first fictional work that she published in 2023.

Kathbell was born in England, moved to New Zealand at the age of 7, and finally settled in the U.S. with her parents and siblings. As a child, she was fascinated by books and an avid reader. With an imagination fed by travels to historic sites, beautiful beaches, and natural wonders found in different parts of the world, she began writing at a very young age. 

 

Growing up, Kathbell loved reading books by C.S. Lewis, J.R. Tolkien, and Anne Rice and dreamed of becoming a writer. After discovering that the origin of the old nursery rhyme was unknown, she felt inspired to write her own version of the truth and bring life to Miss Mary Mack in her first novel, Miss Mary: The Legend of Miss Mary Mack (part one), which she published in 2023. ​

When Kathbell isn't working on her new adult commercial/upmarket fiction novel, she is spending time with her family and friends, reading or listening to a great book, baking, hiking, doing yoga, or indulging in some of life's guilty pleasures.
